Presenter Information

We are looking forward to a varied and impressive collection of presentations and posters at the 2019 HDAA Annual Conference. If you are presenting at a breakout session or presenting a poster, please review these recommendations prior to working on your submissions.

Breakout Session Presentations

Slide Template for Presentations
Use the HDAA 2019 presentation template in PowerPoint to create your presentation.

  • Use the HDAA 2019 Cover, Agenda, and Thank You slides as designed. Adjust as needed, based on your content.
  • There are several layout options for the body content slides. Use additional layouts as needed, but please retain the branding (i.e., the HDAA 2019 conference border).

Presentation Guidelines
Review the Presentation Guidelines before you start creating your presentation, as they will answer questions about what to include and what not to include in your presentation. IMPORTANT: Presentations are limited to 30 minutes. Time for an introduction and at least 5 minutes of Q&A must be included in the 30 minutes.

Draft Presentation Due July 9, 2019

  • Use the following file-naming convention before sending us your draft presentation file:
    DRAFT_Presentation_LastName.pptx (where LastName is replaced with your last name).
  • Email your draft presentation in PowerPoint format to [email protected] by July 9, 2019.
  • Members of the HDAA Posters & Presentations Committee will review your draft and send you feedback in August.

Final Presentation Due September 16, 2019
After incorporating feedback and making any additional changes, please use the following guidelines to email us your final presentation:

  • Your final presentation should be saved in two formats—PowerPoint (.pptx) and PDF (.pdf).
  • Use the following file-naming conventions before sending us your final presentation files.
    • PowerPoint File Name:
      FINAL_Presentation_LastName.pptx (where LastName is replaced with your last name).
    • PDF File Name:
      FINAL_Presentation_LastName.pdf (where LastName is replaced with your last name).
    • Email your final presentations to [email protected] no later than September 16, 2019.

Poster Presentations

Poster Template
Use the HDAA 2019 poster template in PowerPoint to create your poster.

  • Please use the poster template border as designed; do not change or remove the HDAA logo or conference branding.
  • For your convenience, we’ve included multiple poster layout options for you—each on its own PowerPoint slide. Feel free to use whichever layout you’d like.
  • Prior to sending us your poster, remove the PowerPoint slides you are not using.
