Roundtables

In 2025 HDAA offered 21 roundtables. They brought together healthcare analytics professionals for a series of engaging, peer-led conversations focused on the real-world challenges and opportunities shaping the field today. Across sessions, participants shared experiences with topics such as AI governance, data literacy, cloud adoption, and how organizations are evolving their approaches to analytics and value.

Highlighted discussions like Healthy “AI: Governance Strategies for Responsible Innovation in Healthcare”, “Striking the Right Chord with Data Literacy in Healthcare Analytics and Reporting”, and “Data Driven Is Dead” reflected both the growing importance of responsible AI and the ongoing effort to strengthen data capabilities across the enterprise.

Facilitator: Peter Shave, Executive Director, Health IT, Vanderbilt University Medical Center

A broad set of HDAA’s Special Interest Group (SIG) roundtables—covering areas such as Epic, Data Engineering, Governance, Women in Analytics, and Population Health— underscored the role of these communities in supporting continuous learning and collaboration amongst HDAA members with shared interests throughout the year. Notably, the Pharmacy SIG roundtable served as the launch point for a new SIG, highlighting continued growth and strong engagement across the HDAA community.
