HDAA 2023 news and updates

November 6-9, 2023

Healthcare Data & Analytics Association Annual Conference
Hosted by Children's Hospital Colorado
Westin Downtown Denver

We're one week from the opening of HDAA 2023! It's still not too late to register.

Conference updates:

Transportation Options

Our conference hotel is the Westin Denver Downtown, 1672 Lawrence St, Denver, CO 8020. It's a 45-minute drive from the Denver airport, so plan accordingly. Map

Commuter train

We recommend taking the A Line commuter train from the airport to Union Station in downtown. Union Station is the end of the line, so no need to worry about missing your stop. Fare is $10.50 per day and includes unlimited rides.

The hotel is a 10-minute walk from the station, or a quick ride via taxi, Uber, or Lyft.

Airport rideshare

Rideshares of course are available from the airport as well. Pickup location is Level 5, Island 5. Follow the signs for ground transportation.

Follow these links for printable and detailed versions of airport arrival and departure options.

HDAA 2023 Agenda Now Online

Conference attendees: Bookmark our online agenda, and refer to it throughout the event. You'll see the entire schedule of course, with links to presentation abstracts and presenter bios, plus our poster and roundtable sessions. There's a tweak or two left, and we'll update this immediately with any changes.

If you're still debating attending, in-person or virtually, take a look: Our lineup will persuade you.

HDAA 2023 Sponsors

Is 2023 the year of AI and cloud computing in healthcare analytics? For an answer, look no further than the list of companies sponsoring HDAA's annual conference in Denver next week.

Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services, Snowflake, Health Catalyst, BigBear.ai, Epic, and CDW Analytics: all are contributing, financially and intellectually, to our gathering.

We at HDAA take what we think is a unique approach to conference sponsorship. First and foremost, we solicit organizations who advance the healthcare analytics conversation in some important way. There are no trade fairs at a HDAA conference. Instead, sponsors co-present with one of our members, defend posters on a key aspect of our profession, moderate a roundtable discussion.

These eight companies support the HDAA approach and are absolutely essential partners in the rapid maturation of analytics in healthcare.

Keep an eye out on LinkedIn this week to learn what these companies have to offer our conference. They're an integral part of an outstanding agenda featuring more than three dozen presentations, two dozen posters and more than a dozen roundtable discussions, all in the service of HDAA's mission to improve patient outcomes with data and analytics.

If you're a HDAA member, it's not too late to register for Analytics with Altitude, Nov. 6-9, hosted by Children's Hospital Colorado in Denver. If you're not, join today and join our conference. HDAA membership is free to all who meet our criteria.

Please thank our sponsors for helping make HDAA 2023 possible.

HDAA 2023 Keynote Address

We are pleased to announce that Carole Piovesan, co-founder of INQ Consulting, will deliver the keynote address on Tuesday. Her law practice concentrates on privacy, cybersecurity and incident response, data governance and artificial intelligence risk management. Her topic: Move fast but don’t break anything: Leading with responsible AI for better healthcare.

Breakout rooms:

  • Executive/Clinical Track: Augusta Room, lobby level
  • Technical Track: Platt River Room, mezzanine level

Why attend a HDAA conference?

HDAA's annual conference features your colleagues addressing the real-world problems of healthcare analytics and sharing real-world solutions. We draw speakers from around the country and beyond, all of them involved in the practice of our profession.

In addition to formal presentations, posters, and keynote addresses, you'll have opportunities to chat with your peers in topic-specific roundtables, social events, and – sometimes the most fruitful avenue of all – informal conversations in the hallway or at the lunch table.
